From 27 November to 20 December 2026, the traditional Seiffen Christmas Market takes place in the heart of the Ore Mountains.
From the First Sunday of Advent until 6 January, Seiffen is transformed into what is perhaps the world's most enchanting Christmas village. As dusk falls and the lights begin to glow throughout the charming toy-making village, a truly magical atmosphere fills the homes and workshops of the local artisans.
Incense smokers, nutcrackers, Christmas pyramids, and many other treasured examples of traditional Ore Mountain craftsmanship—often cherished by families for generations—decorate the festively adorned homes. In the warm glow of candlelight, the Christmas pyramids gently turn while the fragrance of incense creates a cosy and festive Advent atmosphere.
The traditions of the Ore Mountains also come alive at the Seiffen Christmas Market. One of the highlights is the performances by the traditional costume group 'Living Toys', whose captivating presentations delight visitors from around the world and bring the famous figures of Ore Mountain folk art to life.
